The Blues Foundation izabrao novi izvršni odbor!

Novi odbor ima 3 godišnji mandat, a sačinjavaju ga: Phil Barkett (financijski konzultant iz Chicaga), Steve Bryson (CEO, Global Electronic Technology, Cypress, CA) ; Tom Jones (Smart City Consulting), Memphis; Stefan Levy (Big Cat Search), Barrington, IL; Craig Ray (Mississippi Development Authority), Jackson, MS; Eric Simonsen (AlixPartners LLC), Providence, RI; i Laurie Tucker, potpredsjednik marketinga FedEx-a, Germantown, TN. Dva "stara" člana ostaju: Grammy nominirani izvođač Dorothy Moore i Kevin Kane, CEO Memphis Convention.
Ovaj odbor odabrao je pojedince za izvršenje jednogodišnjih mandata - prvu žensku predsjednicu odbora Pat Morgan i potpredsjednika Billa Waxa kao i još nekolicinu pridruženih članova.The Foundation slavi 3o-tu godišnjicu, 25 izdanja International Blues Challenge-a te 30 izdanja Blues Music Awards-a. Sa sjedištem u Memphisu The Blues Foundation je krovna blues udruga svijeta sa 175 podružnica.


26th International Blues Challenge--The World’s Largest Gathering of Blues Bands

The dates for the 2010 International Blues Challenge will be January 20-23. This is one week earlier than usual and two weeks earlier than 2009. We greatly enjoyed our "competing" in the IBC this year. Loads of fun. Well organized. You guys do an amazing job. You turned a potential logistical nightmare into a seamless, well-oiled process. Very well done. This was my first IBC, but won't be my last. I want to come in 2010 just to listen and...RELAX.
